Before I joined Good School Kovan for Secondary Math, lessons in school was always too fast since classes were a lot bigger, so I didn’t have the confidence to clarify my doubts. Furthermore, I didn’t really know what I knew and what I did not, as the lessons were focused more on going through the syllabus, and not making sure that the students understood all the concepts. So, we weren’t really given any time to try questions specific to each concept before moving on.
The concepts were taught in really large chunks, so it was really hard to know what I could do and what I couldn’t. However, in Good School, concepts are broken down into bite-sized chunks, so for a major topic, it would be broken down into 3 lessons for example, and so it was much easier for me to grasp the concepts and be sure of what I could execute and what I could not. We were also given time to try questions throughout the lesson, so it was reassuring that I really understood the concepts before we moved on to the next one.
Homework was also given in manageable chunks, so that it didn’t feel too overwhelming, as it was an extra work to complete after school. For my tutor’s lessons, it is quite enjoyable as he would also tell his personal stories while we try questions, so lessons would not be so boring. As a student who never really enjoyed Math as I couldn’t really understand how people got to the answer very quickly, Mr Zhang made the process for learning Math a lot more enjoyable and fun. After joining Good School, I made a huge improvement as in sec 1 I was failing. I managed to achieve more consistent results for both E Math and A Math.
As a student who never really enjoyed Mathematics, Mr Zhang's lessons were a lot more enjoyable as he often told us his personal stories while we tried questions to make lessons more engaging and not so boring. This helped us to remain focused during lesson as it is a lot more fun and relaxing compared to lessons in school where we are rushing syllabus. I would recommend Good School to anyone, even those with relatively good grades as it would help you to gain confidence to make sure that your performance is a lot more consistent.
At Sec 1, I was failing Math and I was really at the bottom of the cohort, like about the 8th percentile. But after joining Good School, my grades slowly improved as I start to understand and enjoy math slightly more after having lessons here. This really helped me to boost my confidence and made me a bit more motivated to continue studying math, even though I wasn’t the best at it. I would recommend Good School to anyone, even those with good grades as it would help you to boost your confidence and make sure that you continue performing well for your upcoming exams.

I never understood the logic in Maths and that made me give up on the subject as I felt that it was meaningless. Felt discouraged the whole of my Sec 3 year as my AMath just got worse and worse and my brain just shuts down every time i did Amath. School teachers don't really go through the details and just skim through topics expecting students to understand immediately. They stick to textbook methods.
Mr Zhang is able to identify all the main objectives of each topic and pinpoint at each issue accurately, making really easy to understand the concepts and methods. The worksheets given are also of varying difficulty levels so it allows us to further understand and push ourselves to think more. Mr Zhang delivers every lesson very clearly making it much easier to absorb the info and pick up the skills taught by him. Mr Zhang also helps every student without fail whenever, during or after class which makes our learning much more effective as our concerns are answered promptly. Mr Zhang not only helps us in our academics but also impacts life values to us, always teaching us to persevere and continuously motivating to do our best.
As the class size is small, Mr Zhang is able to help all of us individually and target our problems directly. His jokes also make the class a lot lighter giving us an enjoyable environment to learn in. One special point of Mr Zhang's class is that he screenrecords every lesson so even when I was absent, I was not worried that I would miss out on anything as he sends the recording to absentees and those who wish to view the lesson again.
The centre is very clean and it has a study area with lamps for students which is very useful as we can come in anytime to use it. I took Secondary Amath and Emath at Good School Kovan and my improvement for both subjects were drastic! My Emath improved from F9 to A1 and my Amath improved from F9 to A2. I would have never thought that such a big improvement in my Maths was possible but Good School definitely changed it for me. The patient guidance and teaching from Mr Zhang turned my upper sec life around completely! Thank you Mr Zhang!

For Math, I lacked practice and understanding, I don't have the motivation to practice Math and therefore didn't have good results. Lessons in school was not as straightforward as lessons in tuition. Other lessons did not focus on my weakness. At Good School Kovan, the teaching in thei Secondary Math lessons is very clear and straightforward which made it easier to understand.
The classroom and environment is very conducive which makes it easy to learn .The additional support of the tutors helping us after class and through WhatsApp is very good. I did well for Math making a 5 grade improvement from C6 to A1 in half a year. I would recommend Good School as this tuition centre has really been of great help to me.

Before I joined good school, I was very lost in doing my A.maths because I didn’t build up my foundation well from the start. and that resulted in a lack of motivation to study that subject causing me to fail A.maths consistently. My A.maths grade before joining Good School Kovan for their Secondary Maths lessons was a D7 from the start of sec 3 till sec 4 and I had never passed a single time. But after joining Good School, I was able to build up my foundation & identify the methods to answer the question. My tutor, Mr Zhang taught me the most efficient way to solve the problems sum with the methods.
The Centre allowed us to be more productive with the study corner provided for us to use whenever we wanted. I started making improvements after a few months of being in Good School, starting from a C6 which was a passing grade for my mid year to a B3 during my N levels which was a 3 grades jump. I would definitely recommend because based on my experience in Good School, the tutors have always taken an extra mile to help out the students be it outside or during lesson times.

Before joining Good School, I would always tend to make many careless mistakes in emath and
hence was always stuck with a C6. However, upon joining their Secondary Math lessons, my tutor would highlight common
careless mistakes that students make and this would help me to become more aware of it when
doing questions, thereby avoiding such mistakes after, which was very helpful for me. This is
also something which to me was different about Good School as most tuition centres aim to
teach us how to score rather than how to avoid simple things like careless mistakes. Moreover,
the formulas given were in my opinion, really easy to remember and very useful, which helped
me alot during emath papers. I found every lesson, even the ones conducted on zoom very
easy to follow because everything was said in a very clear, simple manner and all techniques
taught were effective.
It was also nice that Mr Zhang was interesting and entertaining. For
instance, he would explain certain concepts in more interesting ways which would not only
make lessons more enjoyable but also make such concepts easier to remember and thus apply.
The class sizes at Good School are small, which I really liked because it meant that lessons were
always rather efficient. Furthermore, the support given was really good as whenever I had any
queries, my tutor would respond swiftly. Overall, I had a 4 grade improvement and would
certainly recommend this to friends or juniors because it is an entertaining yet effective tuition
centre.

Before I joined this centre, I was struggling in math left, right and center and I could not find a way to succeed even if I try different ways to study. I came to the extent that I lost hope in myself and I will always think and tell myself that I will not succeed in math. Just when I thought that there was no hope and nearly gave up completely, my mom introduced me to Good School Learning Hub. It was where everything changed.
During my first secondary math lesson at the Kovan branch, it was where I met my tutor and he surprised me a lot. I saw something that my school teachers don’t even have. Mr Zhang could tell me where I am weak at and how I work; where I have weakness in areas in my way of studying. This is by far one interesting feature I have not seen in a teacher in all my life. After hearing his remarks, I went on to change my way of studying and learning more from him. Adding on, one special feature of my tutor was how caring he was to his class and his students. One example was during O level math day where he spent minutes recording himself to tell us what will come out and so on. It clearly shows how caring he was to make sure that we succeed and do well for exams.
The day that I was grateful for Good School was during the result collection of O level. When I saw my math grade which was B3, I burst into tears. Those tears were not sadness but joy that I have jumped 3 grades up. It tells me that hard work and determination pad off and that is what this tuition centre is telling to me not just this subject but for the future too. This is one thing I am grateful to them for showing me that nothing is impossible. To be honest, I would recommend this tuition centre to anyone who is struggling in their subjects.

I couldn't keep up with the speed of my Math classes in Secondary two and all my problems snowballed.
I joined Good School Kovan at the end of Secondary 2 so I did not have an A.Math grade before that. For Math, the notes were very neatly compiled and the tutor shared many of the useful strategies and formulas with us. Due to his past experiences, he was able to let us know the important/key features of each question type. Mr Zhang Zheying is very engaging and very professional in his work. He was able to make lessons fun by sharing his experiences from his life and also at the same time teaching us many ways to apply the different question types into the real world context. Class size is small and it is quite cozy I was able to clarify with my tutor my doubts during/before and even after tuition itself.
My math grades became more and more consistent over time and I could constantly achieve an A grade. I would recommend Good School because this tuition centre has very helpful and understanding teachers that will guide you along the way to reach the desired grade you want to get.

Prior to joining Good School Kovan, my Secondary math grades were very inconsistent and I couldn’t really have a grasp on the topics at hand.
After going here, however, I managed to better understand the maths questions and the steps as to how to answer them with the help of my tutor, Mr Zhang. Because of this, I easily understood the questions in the O level papers and could do well in them.

Before joining Good School Kovan, I could not keep up with my classmates back then in secondary math classes. I was consistently failing my math papers and i felt quite frustrated with myself. I started disliking the subject because i keep on getting the same unsatisfactory results. My grade before joining was a C6.
The lessons are different because it makes me more motivated to study as my tutor makes it easier for us to strategise our methods and eliminate mistakes so that we are able to spend our time more efficiently during exams and it has definitely made me more confident in myself during exams. What I like about my lessons is that he is not always so intense during classes and also the light hearted conversations made during lessons makes me feel less pressured during class. He’s also always motivating us and it’s nice how he’s confident in us scoring well for our exams. He does not set unrealistic expectations for us which is good It’s a small class so it’s easier to ask more questions.
Mr Zhang is constantly assuring us that it’s ok to ask questions and it makes me feel more comfortable to ask questions rather than being embarrassed to ask questions during class.
I jumped 2 grades for my Amath from consistently scoring a C5 in school exams to a B3 in O levels. I would recommend GSLH because I feel safe to be there and the lessons there definitely benefit me a lot as it makes me feel more motivated to score well in exams.

I always thought that I was just horrible at Math and I couldn't be taught. Mr Zhang is vey thorough when he is teaching and he makes sure everyone knows and understands the topic that he is teaching. My school never ensures that everyone knows and understands, and they are just brushing through the topic. He is very clear when explaining all the formulas and steps to the problems. He is serious but at the same time manages to lighten the mood at times to make the lesson atmosphere very conducive. Mr Zhang always responds quickly to any questions. My Secondary Math grades jumped from an F9 to an A2 in 1 years and it has always been constant. Yes I would recommend GSLH to others.

Before enrolling in Good School Kovan, Mathematics wasn't my favoured subject since I've never really scored decently well for Mathematics. During Mr Zhang's lessons, every chapter was explained in so much detail. He explained complicated chapters more detailed compared to the teachers in my school. Content was taught even before my school teachers taught the chapters.
Even though there would be a lot of homework assigned each week, when it comes to Mathematics, practice makes perfect. Over time, I've familiairsed myself with the steps to take answering different questions (something I could never do before i enrolled here.). Mr Zhang always had some sort of good advice every lesson, and he would hold small conversations with us to help lighten the tense mood in class. His lessons are always enjoyable and I've always look forward to his early 8am class every week. Having improved from a D7 to a A2, I'm thankful towards Mr Zhang for helping me understand Mathematics.

I did not understand anything at all. My school's teacher went too quickly as i couldn't catch up. After I joined GS Kovan, Mr Zhang helped me on the identification of questions and how to solve them correctly. In school, the teacher just taught the students just had to pay attention but in GS, Mr Zhang engaged us/got our attention by sharing personal stories, those of which were really quite funny.
Mr Zhang is clear in explaining strategies and explaning the questions that we're unsure about. He shares with us easier ways to spot and answer each question and question type. It is clean, looks good. Mr Zhang encourages me. He helps me throughout the week on Whatsapp as well. I joined Good School's Secondary Math lessons in Sec 2, I Improved from F9 to a B3 for Olevels. I would recommend as the teachers are really nice and caring. The environment is bright and clean. NICE.

The issues faced in school included the teachers going too fast without everyone understanding and such a big class being noisy. In Good School, the secondary math lessons are well-paced and the class size is perfect such that the teacher can ensure everybody understands before moving on. I like that Mr Zhang is patient and friendly, willing to share his own personal experiences and tips from when he was a student. The environment is perfect because of the clean environment and small class size. The support provided allows us to revisit missed lessons as well as as tough questions from school. Mr Zhang changed my mindset and overall attitude towards learning which played a part in saving my O levels. I had a 7 grade improvement. Yes. I would definitely recommend Good School to everyone.

Before attending lessons in Good School Kovan, the amount of understanding I had in Math was highly questionable. I could never understand the required concepts fully or grasp the points of certain topics as well as the applications for them. Math lessons in school were tedious, to say the least, with practice after practice. Afterwards, the teacher would just go through them, end of the story.
Even if there were doubts, they could never be fully clarified. However, Mr Zhang changed all of that. His secondary math lessons were a lot more interactive and engaging. If you had any questions, they will not be left unanswered. The notes were not exhaustive either. Revision was made a lot easier with them. Whenever the overall mood of the students were low, he would share one of his life experiences to lighten up the atmosphere, ensuring that students can feel recharged to continue with the lesson. The centre's environment was good too. The classrooms allow students to better focus on their work and not get distracted.
The support provided is a lot more accessible compared to in school. Any questions will be answered at any point in time, even outside tuition timings. Because of all these, my A math results improved from an F9 to a B3 in around 2 years. I would definitely recommend Good School because the lessons conducted are more engaging unlike conventional school lessons. The tutor makes sure that students understand as much possible about the topics covered, especially outside lessons. He is passionate about teaching, and if there is cooperation between two parties, the improvement made will be worth the effort

During the end of Sec 2, I joined Good School Kovan to start early on Amath. During the first few lessons, I would not understand what Teacher Zhe Ying was talking about the whole time and was struggling to keep up with the rest of the students. However, he saw that I was having difficulties and encouraged me to stay back during lessons to clarify my doubts. This make me slowly understand the concepts and topics even better and I could keep pace with the lesson.
Although for the first exam I only scored C5, he kept encouraging me and pushing me even further. When I had school work with questions that I was unsure of, I could easily ask Teacher Zhe Ying to go through with me during lessons, after lessons and even on Whatsapp. His secondary math lessons are entertaining and interesting as compared to to the methods taught in school. There is even a study area for us students to use whether it's after lessons or before lessons! Eventually, I began to make improvements , and scored an A2 during O Levels.
I would recommend Good School to my juniors who are taking A Math as he makes lessons engaging and simple to understand and you would eventually make great improvement.

I had trouble coping with the fast-paced curriculum in school and often got left behind in class. I was unable to properly absorb lessons in school. The secondary math lessons in Good School were well organised and concise. They were broken down well to the point where it suited me in learning. Mr Zhang was also very supportive of me, which further compelled me to put in more hard work and improve myself.
I like how Mr Zhang was willing to listen to any query no matter how insignificant they may have been. This allowed me to clarify all my doubts and enabled us to grasp the subject better. I like that the centre provides a very conducive environment to focus and that it is usually available for use at any time. The support provided was very helpful as Mr Zhang went out of his way to clarify my doubts and even urged the class to message him if we found anything confusing. I managed to get an A2 and improved 5 grades in 6 months. I would recommend Good School as the lessons are easy to understand and the teacher is very encouraging.

I was very worried for A Math due to having done badly for Sec 2 Math exams and I was very scared that I wouldn't be able to perform well for A Math too because I hated Math. At Good School Learning Hub Kovan, I found Mr Zhang's lessons very effective. I enjoyed A Math a lot more and improved from C6 to A1 over a span of 4 months.
