I couldn't keep up with the speed of my math classes in secondary two and all my problems snowballed.
I joined GoodSchool at the end of Secondary 2 so I did not have an amath grade before that.
For math, the notes were very neatly compiled and the tutor shared many of the useful strategies and formulas with us. Due to his past experiences, he was able to let us know the important/key features of each question type. The tutor is very engaging and very professional in his work. He was able to make lessons fun by sharing his experiences from his life and also at the same time teaching us many ways to apply the different question types into the real world context. Class size is small and it is quite cozy I was able to clarify with my tutor my doubts during/before and even after tuition itself.
My math grades became more and more consistent over time and I could constantly achieve an A grade. I would recommend this because this tuition centre has very helpful and understanding teachers that will guide you along the way to reach the desired grade you want to get.

What sets my tutor’s English lessons apart from the ordinary English teachers in school is that in my tutor’s lessons, we do not just get extra practice for us to drill our answering and writing techniques, but we are also taught various methods to attempt each and every segment tested within the English syllabus. For example, in the lessons which are essay-focused, we aren’t only exposed to a wide range of vocabulary for us to use in our own writing, but we are also taught formulas to structure a good introduction, non-repetitive PEEL paragraphs, as well as convincing conclusions (for the expository essays).

Some problems i faced included not knowing how to study effectively for the subject even days before the upcoming test or examination apart from just flipping through old assignments and learning from my previous mistakes. I also didn’t manage to practice more for my essay writing even though it was one of my weaker components as the teachers in my school focused more on the other components. In a nutshell, English was a pretty ambiguous subject to me that I did not know how to study and improve in simply by just reading up more.

I joined Good School in sec 1, where my grades stayed stagnant at the B3 to B4 range. For English, the teachers focus a lot on us having the fundamentals and learning all the formulas we will need in order to answer the questions directly and accurately. We also learnt all the various ways like FAT, level 1 to 3 descriptive writing and how to come up with our own similes and metaphors so that we are able to write much more interesting and persuading essays. The teachers also zoom in on every tiny detail by breaking down the question so that we are able to produce essays that thoroughly answer the question while standing out from the rest as well.

Before joining Good School,I could not keep up with my classmates back then in math classes. I was consistently failing my math papers and i felt quite frustrated with myself. I started disliking the subject because i keep on getting the same unsatisfactory results. My grade before joining was a c6. The lessons are different because it makes me more motivated to study as my tutor makes it easier for us to strategise our methods and eliminate mistakes so that we are able to spend our time more efficiently during exams and it has definitely made me more confident in myself during exams
What i like about my lessons is that he is not always so intense during classes and also the light hearted conversations made during lessons makes me feel less pressured during class. He’s also always motivating us and it’s nice how he’s confident in us scoring well for our exams. He does not set unrealistic expectations for us which is good It’s a small class so it’s easier to ask more questions.
The tutor is constantly assuring us that it’s ok to ask questions and it makes me feel more comfortable to ask questions rather than being embarrassed to ask questions during class.
I jumped 2 grades for my Amath from consistently scoring a c5 in school exams to a b3 in o levels
i would recommend because i feel safe to be there and the lessons there definitely benefit me a lot as it makes me feel more motivated to score well in exams.

I didn’t know that there were methods for answering comprehension questions and was always unable to get the complete answers to the questions. I was always missing that one part of the answer that would allow me to get the full marks for that question. I also didn’t know that there were techniques that could be used during summary that could help me paraphrase my words and make my sentence structure much more fluent. I scored a B3 for my end of year examinations in Secondary 3.
When taking lessons in Good School, I was able to study English predictably using the logic modelling and formulas taught during the lesson. Even though I joined later in the year, I was still able to catch up with the rest of my classmates with the extra lessons that were conducted during the school holidays. The tutor is able to teach in a way that makes it easy to understand and digest the techniques that are taught to us. The lessons are also fun and engaging as the tutor would link the techniques to the scripts of some movies. One such example is using a clip from the movie “Sherlock Holmes” to teach us how to be more descriptive when writing our essays. The class size is small and all the students are able to receive adequate attention from the tutor and the whole class is able to move ahead in the lessons together. I was able to get help from my tutor even outside lesson timings as I could contact him via Whatsapp if I still had any doubts on what was taught during the lessons or when I needed assistance for my school work.
I had a 2-grade improvement and scored an A1 for my O level English. I would recommend Good School to the people around me because the techniques that were taught are effective and helped me to better answer the questions in Paper 2 which was the component that I was the weakest at. There were also lessons for essay writing and oral which helped me to better express myself in both writing and words.

My tutor was always a dedicated teacher who would ensure that we understood everything that was taught. When we drifted off in class sometimes, he reminded us to keep paying attention. I feel that he has helped me to ensure that i constantly maintain my A1 grade in Add math by his constant help and dedication.
I joined during circuit breaker, and there was a lack of attention given by my math teacher in school, thus I was losing track of my learning. There are quality materials and lesson is carried out in an orderly fashion
My teacher always gave us his attention and made sure we understood every concept he taught. He also put in much effort to answer any queries we made to him on whatsapp swiftly. The support was sufficient and i felt that i could cope better with add maths overall
I maintained an A1 grade constantly.
I would recommend it because it helped me and I'm sure it'll help them.

My tutor is really patient despite my fluctuations. He uses methods and tips to teach us more about the English language, making it easier to understand the concepts of English. I have never really studied this subject as a whole before but after attending lessons, I was enlightened at the fact that English is a subject that indeed requires effort. Although I didn’t do as well as I wanted to, I was still happy with my performance because I understood and made good use of the methods that he taught as well as the list of good words that we were being provided. After attending tuition, it made English less intimidating.

For Math, I have never always been able to do well as i cannot understand the concept of it and i don’t know how to make use of the formulas that were give for each topic, i always got really low score for math and never knew how could i improve on it. I am able to identify the questions and solve the problems using the strategies taught. The strategies and tips were easy to understand and apply
Good School lessons are taught from ground up without requiring prior knowledge. All the basics and fundamentals are taught so that I can have an edge in the exams
When lessons are too stressful he will try to loosen the mood up as it is always very tense when it comes to a important and tedious topic, so i think it helps a lot so we don’t feel very energy drained.
Having a study area is conducive and class size is small so i can focus better compared to school
Im able to clarify all my doubts during lessons and also after lessons the tutor is always there to support my questions on whatsapp when I needed help. I had a 2-grade improvement and scored a B4 for my N level math
I would recommend because i think their methods and strategies taught are very effective once you get to learn about, there were lots of methods learnt only in GoodSchool and the tutors never fail to ask upon your understanding on the specific area taught during lessons.

Before I came to Good School, I didn’t know that I could study for English, and I usually didn’t study for my English, until I failed one of my comprehensions, then I didn’t know how to answer the questions properly. After I joined Good School, I learnt many techniques and methods to answer comprehension questions, and this helped me improve my grades from B4 to A2 in O Levels.

Before attending A math tuition with my mentor, I was achieving inconsistent results for A math due to a lack of understanding for the subject. Despite studying extremely hard, I was not scoring the As I hoped for. However, my tutor unique teaching style allowed me to understand the fundamentals of the subject. Not only did he enlighten me academically but he also taught me important life lessons and values by telling short stories. This let me realize that although academics are important, having good values is also crucial to being successful in life.

I was scoring 18/30 for sec 3 End of Year and Sec 4 prelim 1 Oral exam, as I did not do any sort of practice for my oral back then. Thus, I decided that in order to get my A1, I had to start pulling up my socks and prove to the teachers and my friends what I am capable of … After all these 2 months of hard work, I had the oral exam just last week. On that day, I walked into the exam hall confidently, aiming for a 6-mark improvement. In the end, I achieved my target with a 7 for Reading Aloud and 17 for Spoken Interaction, graded by the strictest teacher (we are allowed to choose the teacher that we want to be tested by). Some of my friends said that I was just lucky, but they will know that I am more than that when you see me on Good School's TV next year, with my picture taken with my mentor and having the caption: "English: From C5 to A1". Listen to Good School's tutors and start practicing now. Yes, NOW. My only regret is not starting in sec 3.

I almost gave up on English when I first came to Good School, as I always felt that English could not be taught. I have been scoring borderline passes and the worst was E8 during my mid-year in secondary 4. After joining the classes, I realized that actually English could be learnt if taught in a proper way. In school, lessons were just going through test papers after test papers, but here there are proper techniques to answering certain questions and they helped me to understand what I was learning. Usually, English lessons are boring but my mentor was able to add some humour into boring topics and make it interesting. It is convenient for students who want to study and eat at the same time, as it is very flexible here. I was able to apply the skills that I learnt into my exams. I could see the results of about 6 months' worth of hard work at the end when I got a 5-grade improvement. I would recommend others this place as the teachers here know the right techniques to teach and are always very approachable if we are in need of help.

My tutor is very understanding and would teach in a pace that is easy for students to learn. I could see improvement when my editing has improved constantly from 4/10 to 8 or 9/10. Thanks!

My mentor is straight to the point and is very good at teaching students in a way we can understand. Before, I would constantly fail my math test. Now, I got a B3 for Maths O level! Thanks !

My tutor helped me to understand the different topics such as indices and trigonometry better as I was particularly weak in those areas. The way he approached the questions were easy to understand. He also helped to clear my doubts and also helped me to enjoy doing math more. After constantly failing and getting F9s throughout the year, I managed to get a C5 in my O levels within a span of 3 months. I also like the fact that I would ask questions that I am not sure of from the papers that I have done and my tutor would be glad to answer my doubts.

My mentor is an inspiring and innovative teacher who never fails to impress upon his students the importance of having a passion for the English Language. I managed a grade jump of 2 grades from B3 to A1 while my friends were also able to achieve rather impressive results in their O levels. This is undoubtedly down to Good School's excellent and methodical teaching methods. Not to mention the care and love he showed upon us. Good School is an effective and quality learning hub. I would say that – with the right doses of hard work – will enable one to fulfill his/her academic goals.

When I first took A maths, I found it ridiculously hard. It was hard to understand the different maths terms being thrown around the classroom. But I managed to get through different math terms being thrown around the classroom and managed to get through using examples. As a result, my A maths results have been really inconsistent; ranging from C6s to F9s. Hence, my parents signed me up for Good School. When I first joined I was too shy to ask for clarification. As the tuition sessions progressed, my teacher could see that I was struggling to understand and was too shy to ask. Hence, he assured me every tuition session and I was soon asking him questions about my school exam papers after class. With questions answered and a much better understanding of the subject, thanks to clear teaching and learning the different methods to solve problems, my grades jumped from E8 to A2 from prelims to O level. I would strongly recommend Good School as the teaching is very clear and they teach us many methods to solve problems. The temperature is cool and provides a conducive learning environment. The classrooms look professional as well.

Before joining Good School, I was constantly failing A maths and honestly did not put much thought into this subject as well as my other subjects. Throughout the two years of taking A math in secondary school, I did not fair well. I was either barely passing or attaining a solid D7. The lessons differed greatly, in class, the teacher had to cater to the different learning speeds of various students and thus was not able to concentrate on everyone. As a result, I always found myself lost in class and eventually lost interest. However, in Good School, I was able to freely express my misconceptions and get an immediate solution to my issue. Succeeding in solving Amath problems, it sparked an interest in me for the subject. Along with the continuous support from Good School, I was inspired to do well and determined to ace Amaths as well as my other subjects. During Prelims in September, I scored a D7 but in O levels, I was able to achieve an A2! A 5 grade improvement. Overall, I would recommend Good School. In small groups, the tutor will be able to cater to your needs. Good School will continue to provide endless support no matter your starting grade.

I hated A math to the core especially with the constant F9s throughout the year. Didn’t understand a simple topic. At the end of Sec 3, I was doing very badly in English. I was failing with an E8 and D7. I got to know my mentor as he was recommended by my math tuition teacher. He taught me many things about English that I was totally unaware of. I used to think that reading many books was the only way to score well in English. When O levels were coming closer, my mentor was kind enough to offer his tuition center as a conducive place for me to study. It really helped me. With my constant hard work and his guidance, I was able to improve from E8 to B3 for English O levels.

My mentor is extremely patient. For example, there were several occasions where I was unable to comprehend even the simplest concepts, he would then take some time to explain in detail to ensure that all students were able to catch up with the lessons.

Even though he is busy with his personal life, especially since he has a young son to take care of, he would still not mind us asking him questions through Whatsapp where he will respond as soon as he could. His dedication towards teaching is largely apparent and greatly appreciated by students as well.

During lessons, he also does his best to ensure that there are no dull moments. For example, after completing a series of tough questions, he will take a short break and share past experiences and other personal stories. He also takes the effort to find out more about his students and their interests.

Despite joining the class merely 3 months before O levels, my tutor's patience and in-depth knowledge about the subjects he teaches allowed me to pull up my Amath grade from F9 to A2.

It was a fun and enriching learning under My tutor. Aside from being a really experienced math teacher, he is also really passionate and genuine towards his students. To make lessons more fun, he would often crack some lame jokes. He would also share with us the common mistakes and misunderstandings students make for certain questions which helps us a lot. For math, I usually felt that the pace in school was a little too fast for me and I never really had time to clarify my doubts with my teacher, so my mentor had actually made learning maths much more easier and clearer for me, because he would go really in-depth in explanations. Also, I really liked his style of teaching because it really just focuses on the topics and question types that I have doubts in. In the span of just 1 month learning under my tu, my grade in math has improved by 2 grades. (C5 to B3)

I felt that I don't have the ability to do well in A Math as our school provided very little time to understand the different topics. I scored and E8 for my recent SA1. In school, teachers have lesser time to concentrate on different individuals and hence is unable to cater specifically to our level of understanding unlike lessons here where we are helped individually as the classes are small. The tutor's lessons are engaging and are helpful as we can clarify our doubts on the spot. The small class size is one of the things i like about here. I am constantly supported by my tutor even on Whatsapp. After attending this tuition, i obtained an A1 for A Maths. I was able to understand the topics more clearly with the help of my tutor. I would recommend to my juniors as the environment here is good and conducive.
