Before I joined Good School for Math, lessons in school was always too fast since classes were a lot bigger, so I didn’t have the confidence to clarify my doubts. Furthermore, I didn’t really know what I knew and what I did not, as the lessons were focused more on going through the syllabus, and not making sure that the students understood all the concepts. So, we weren’t really given any time to try questions specific to each concept before moving on.

The concepts were taught in really large chunks, so it was really hard to know what I could do and what I couldn’t. However, in Good School, concepts were broken down into bite-sized chunks, so for a major topic, it would be broken down into 3 lessons for example, and so it was much easier for me to grasp the concepts and be sure of what I could execute and what I could not. We were also given time to try questions throughout the lesson, so it was reassuring that I really understood the concepts before we moved on to the next one.

Homework was also given in manageable chunks, so that it didn’t feel too overwhelming, as it was an extra work to complete after school. For My tutor’s lessons, it is quite enjoyable as he would also tell his personal stories while we try questions, so lessons would not be so boring. As a student who never really enjoyed Math as I couldn’t really understand how people got to the answer very quickly, he made the process for learning Math a lot more enjoyable and fun. After joining Good School, I made a huge improvement as in sec 1 I was failing. I managed to achieve more consistent results for both E Math and A Math. 

 As a student who never really enjoyed Mathematics, My tutor’s lessons were a lot more enjoyable as he often told us his personal stories while we tried questions to make lessons more engaging and not so boring. This helped us to remain focused during lesson as it is a lot more fun and relaxing compared to lessons in school where we are rushing syllabus. I would recommend Good School to anyone, even those with relatively good grades as it would help you to gain confidence to make sure that your performance is a lot more consistent. 

 At Sec 1, I was failing Math and I was really at the bottom of the cohort, like about the 8th percentile. But after joining Good School, my grades slowly improved as I start to understand and enjoy math slightly more after having lessons here. This really helped me to boost my confidence and made me a bit more motivated to continue studying math, even though I wasn’t the best at it. I would recommend Good School to anyone, even those with good grades as it would help you to boost your confidence and make sure that you continue performing well for your upcoming exams.
